It is the trauma rehabilitation that addresses the functional recovery after a trauma disease.
- Hospitalisation
- Clinical process: between 4 – 20 weeks depend of each patient.

Who it is for?
It is the trauma rehabilitation that addresses the functional recovery after a trauma disease.
- Patients who have undergone some form of trauma surgery such as knee replacement, or hip replacement or, following a shoulder or kneed arthroscopy and interventions in the spine.
- Patients with degenerative diseases in different locations such as large joints (hip, knee, shoulder, elbow), spine or other locations such as foot or hand; pathologies generated after blows or bad moves.
How do we do it?
After an assessment by the rehabilitation team, a treatment plan will be scheduled. Subsequently, and always following a personalised treatment planning, the different rehabilitation techniques will be applied:
- Physiotherpay: Application of usually manual techniques by the physiotherapist.
- Mechanotherapy: This is the application for the treatment of technical aids such as Zimmer frames, pulleys, exercise bikes, parallel bars…
- Electrotherapy: Application of physical agents such as transdermal electro stimulation (TENS), magnet therapy, microwave, ultrasound…
Treatment duration
-
- Knee or hip prosthesis: 6 weeks
- Spine interventions: 20 weeks
- Knee arthroscopy: 4 weeks
- Shoulder arthroscopy: 6 weeks
These times are approximate and will always depend on the clinical situation of each patient.
