It is a specialised consultation that covers all the needs of healthy people over 65 years, in order to prevent or promote a physiological or healthy aging, and prevent or delay the pathological aging.
Aging is a normal biological condition; it is a dynamic, progressive, irreversible, complex and varied process resulting from the interaction between different factors: heredity, previous illnesses, environment, lifestyle. For each person varies depending on the different combination of these factors, in which age is one more.
Working method and duration
Includes:
- Comprehensive geriatric medical assessment
- Assistance by a multidisciplinary team
- Design of an individualised therapy plan (at the hospital, at home or at the hotel). This is eminently preventive or for early detection of health problems
The patient is comprehensively assessed:

- Clinical assessment: existing diseases or screening of potential diseases, control of vascular risk factors; review of vaccines, early detection of cancer, sleep hygiene
- Functional assessment: autonomy and functional independence
- Mental and psychic assessment: neuropsychological assessment
A multidimensional individualised treatment plan is created for treatment purposes, including medical follow-up and rehabilitation management. It also includes health educationand recommendations to foster a healthy lifestyle tailored to each patient (exercise, diet, nutrition etc).
